Pre-pregnancy romance sets in again.
Nature is very watchful and careful. It takes care of your delicate baby at this stage very modestly.
Let’s take you through Week-19.
Baby’s growth:
A waxy white material named vernix caseosa covers the baby’s body. It protects the baby’s delicate skin from getting spoilt.
In the case of premature deliveries, this coating can be observed. In other words, vernix caseosa saves the baby’s skin from any harm from its watery surroundings– if you can visualize, how your skin would appear if you had to sit in an aquatic environment for 9 months!
Though the baby is very small in size now, a brown fat develops, which helps to maintain to keep the baby warm, post-birth. At the time of the last trimester, the baby would affix more fatty layers for its warmness and safety.
Mother’s changes:
Your continuous concern for the baby’s health might lead to encouragement if you experience your baby’s initial movements, which mostly occurs during this time.
The first or initial movement of your baby is termed as quickening, which makes you feel similar to butterflies in the stomach or sometimes a rumbling stomach.
Later punches, kicks, and perhaps hiccups would be felt. Please bear in mind that if the rate of recurrence in movements reduces, the doctor should be consulted immediately.
If you are planning to have sex with your partner but also in two minds, then the answer is YES YOU CAN GO AHEAD. It would not hurt the baby.
In all phases of pregnancy, sex can be considered safe. But at the same time, it is not essential that you need to have sex.
During pregnancy, many women’s craving for sex varies during the different stages, considering their concern over baby’s birth, growing size, fatigue, and somebody changes.
Both you and your partner should be open to discussing this issue as and when required.
Both you and your partner indeed are in a world of your own with your would-be newborn, but it is also important that both of you have some occasion together.
Father’s role:
Study on childbirth, pregnancy, and parenting. If you feel like taking a break, please go ahead.
The week’s inspiration:
I am all set to become the best father in the world. I am ready for turning out to be the world’s best of the moms.
